All popular surround sound formats are supported, while S-Master all-digital amplifier technology effectively minimizes the occurrence of sound fragmentation and jitter, delivering superb dialog clarity and faithful reproduction of the original sound. The compact amplifier section supports a higher power efficiency and improved thermal performance.
Auto calibration makes set up a breeze and is the system is compatible with Sony’s S-AIR function, which allows wireless sound transmission between S-AIR products and allows the option to add wireless rear speakers (sold separately) at a later date.
As the Sony HT-AS5 is 3D Ready, when you use one of its HDMI connections you can enjoy 3D (three dimension) video contents with 3D compatible TV and 3D compatible components (e.g.: Blu-ray disc player, Blu-ray disc recorder or PlayStation 3), together with appropriate 3D glasses.
